Interview with Adam Petty of Thirty Two 64 BDA

When we first connected with Adam, we knew this guy had it all figured out. Living in Bermuda, running an amazing new men's shop, and being buddies with the family behind Goslings Rum (arguably Bermuda's most famous export.) An America's Cup later we KNOW he's got it all figured out. Want to learn the tricks to it all: Swing by Thirty Two 64 next time you're on island. You can't miss it: 15 Front Street, Hamilton – across the street from the Ferry Terminal.

Drop the “how it all started” story on us.

When small/elevator talk consisted of ‘Terrible weather today, eh?’ or ‘Beautiful day to be outside’ aka WEATHER TALK, I knew it was time to move on. No but seriously, Sam and I’s goal was to enhance the local retail shopping experience. We went about this by carefully selecting cool brands that would give our clientele a selection that they have never experienced before!

The fact that they are a local business, who by sticking to their roots (Bermuda), have become a global brand. We look up to their values, and more importantly enjoy their product while wearing our clothes! Match made in Heaven!

Golf is to Bermuda, what bagels are to NYC. Sure, you can visit and not take part...but why would you do that. Any good (or bad) stories from the courses?

The good – we have infinite Gosling’s Rum to drink. The bad – enjoying it a little too much that your swing becomes a little out of sync and scores dramatically increase!

We saw you teamed up with Bermuda’s favorite: Goslings Rum. How’d that come about?

What’s your favorite locals tip for anyone visiting the island?

Talk to locals! Bermudians love to share their ‘local’ knowledge and will always make sure to provide you with a laugh!

When you’re not in the shop, where on earth is your "happy place"? It can be a beach side destination or a quiet spot in your apartment. Just let us know why it's your spot.

The Golf Course, or as we refer to it; The Sanctum. Also, NO phones aloud! It’s one of the few places where I am truly able to get away from everything… well almost! Most of the time, I am playing with close friends in a relaxed atmosphere (although it gets VERY competitive!), having a bunch of laughs on the most BEAUTIFUL island in the world!
