The Story Behind The Yanks Duffel

Even before the brouhaha over Landon Donovan and the debate over the final twenty-three man roster for the US Men's National Soccer Team, one very lucky team member, midfielder #10 Mix Diskerud, received a special gift from us at Hudson Sutler. Mix's interest in our brand, paired with the growing excitement for the World Cup, prompted us to create a custom duffel just for him. Thus the Yanks Duffel was born, and immediately sent off with Mix in time for kick off in Brazil.

During the nearly 9,000 miles traveled by the USMNT, the support for the Yanks Duffel reached a tipping point to where Mix called us from Brazil demanding bags for the entire team. After some late nights dealing with Brazilian customs, the bags arrived just before the Round of 16.

We thought the story ended there...but it didn't...

Following his historic performance against Belgium, Goalkeeper Tim Howard was spotted sporting our Yanks Duffel in the airport and the buzz over our bag skyrocketed. Additional US players were quick to post the bag online, and it's been seen on the shoulders of Brad Davis, Alejandro Bedoya, Brad Guzon and Stu Holden to name just a few.
